JBuddyTM CF README

Welcome to Zion Software's JBuddy-CF Instant Messaging Event Gateway Plugin for ColdFusion. JBuddy-CF adds to the built-in IM protocols available within ColdFusion Event Gateways and brings support for popular public IM protocols including AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ as well as Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007, Microsoft Live Communication Server (LCS 2005), and Zion's own Enterprise IM server, JBuddy Message Server.

JBuddy-CF Requirements

Installation Location

You must specify the Installation Target Location to be your ColdFusion home location {cf.root} as JBuddy-CF-Installer will install files into this location. For example, on Windows, the default location would be C:\ColdFusion8
NOTE Uninstalling Steps below.

Files to be Installed

JBuddy-CF installs the following files off the {cf.root} location:

Core classes:

Event Gateway Default Properties: Event Gateway Config Instances:
You will have one cfg file for each Gateway Instance you create in the ColdFusion Administrator. You need to supply a screen name and password: JBuddy-CF Documentation: JBuddy-CF Examples: Misc:

Uninstalling JBuddy-CF (Graphical)

  1. ** Shutdown ColdFusion **
  2. Double click on {cf.root}\Uninstaller\uninstaller.jar and DO NOT check the Box to Force deletion of {cf.root}
  3. Restart ColdFusion Server
  4. Manually remove the Event Gateways created with JBuddy-CF
